2017 Annual General Meeting

2017 Annual General Meeting

Big thank you to all those who turned out to the annual general meeting held on the 9th June.

We welcomed Tom Humphris and Will Crowder to the committee, with Cam Mccauley and Wade Pelzer stepping aside. Sam Messinis takes over the role of Secretary.

We still have a vacancy for Junior Co-Ordinator, if you have any interest in this important conduit between Juniors sides, Parents and the greater club please contact myself for details. Its not that tough a job…

From a financial perspective we had an approximate $6000 turn around this season, which was very pleasing, but we still have quite an number of debtors that need to make arrangements to have these outstanding monies paid.

I have included my report below.

2016 AGM Update

Big thank you to all that attended last Wednesday nights AGM it was a fantastic turnout.

As many of you are aware John Forrest elected to step down from the Presidents position as has Andrew Quill from the Junior Co-Ordinator role. I cannot thank John and Andrew enough for their past contributions that they have made in these roles, Their efforts are the main reason this club has been so successful over the preceding period.

From an incoming presidents perspective I would like to say that not much is expected to change, and nor should it. We plan to build on our success, but focus on initiatives that ensure we have the right programmes in place to permit sustained success, ensuring the efforts of those in the past are not in vain.

A formal structure for the junior club, with closer integration with the senior club, re-instatement of In2Cricket programme and a revamp of our social events will be our main focus. From an onfield perspective Matt Hyden and Eivion Bowen will remain in their on field roles, as previously announced

The new committee consists of:

Matt Beggs – Vice President

Andrew Parsons – Treasurer

Wade Pelzer – Secretary

Glen Prendergast – Function Co-Ordinator

Sam Messinis – Membership Co-Ordinator

Cam MacCauley – Communications

Braydon Jarred – Past Players

Dylan O’Malley – Statistics

John Forrest – Head of Cricket

We still have a vacancy for the position of Junior Co-Ordinator, this is a vitally important role within our clubs quest for sustained success. If anyone is interested or would like to find out more about the role please contact me ASAP.

On behalf of the POBCC I would sincerely like to thank our sponsors for the support they provide:

Canadian Bay Hotel, Wolfdene, Southern Partners, Casey Superclinic Pharmacy, Ferntree Gully Toyota, Faire, and Hardings Hardware.

We look forward to continuing our partnerships in the future,

It is a truely a great honour to be elected as president of this club, the club is a reflection of its members, a club that bats way above its average in comparison to its size.

Lets all get involved, celebrate our success, but work hard to ensure that players and supporters are able to share the same experiences that we have long into the future

Cheers,

Adam J.

President POBCC.

All senior members,

The below details represent our new approach and structure to ensure the club continues to provide all senior members with the best possible facilities at the most affordable price.  As you would all be aware we have some of the lowest priced fees in the MPCA whilst providing best in class facilities.

This year we will be anticipating increased expenditure to ensure our facilities are improved.  Included in this planned spend is a new pitch on the Harry Mac oval, an upgrade of the training nets and a new scoreboard for the main oval.

This years fees for all senior players will be as follows –

Senior Member over 21 years of age (playing full season) – $250

·         $125 to be paid prior to round one (10th October)

·         $125 to be paid by the 31st October

·         In complying with the above you will also receive a CB’s $25 Voucher

Senior Member 18-21 years of age (playing full season) – $200

·         $100 to be paid prior to round one (10th October)

·         In complying with the above you will also receive a CB’s $25 Voucher

Players playing in the one day side (4th X1) – $10 per week (to be collected by the captain)

·         If you are playing a full season in this grade then the amount of $250 is payable

·         For those not playing every game then the $10 fee applies

Juniors playing in the seniors – $5 per game paid to the captain

Fees can be paid to me or Parso or transferred directly into the clubs account (remember to put your name in the details and the word “Subs” –

Bank Details – BSB 033 131  Account # 341 754

All fees contribute to player registration, team registration, Match ball money, training balls and equipment and helps to keep the cost of any additional items to a minimum.

If anyone has any questions or issues in regards to the fee structure then please do not hesitate to contact me on 0405 331 567 or john.forrest@maurianz.com as I am more than happy to field any concerns.

Kind Regards
